We are sorry to hear how disappointed you are in our decision to publish David Crowe's article on the problems with coronavirus testing, and greatly appreciate the time you took to communicate how you feel. We would love to explain to you our reasons for publishing his work on our platform. First, we have published a qualification at the beginning of the article:
"Editor's Note: The views represented here are the opinion of the author, and are not an official endorsement. We believe in publishing a variety of perspectives, focusing on those with well-referenced citations, such as the one below. We encourage our readers to think critically and make informed choices. We hope by providing this information we are contributing to open, meaningful debate, on the crisis that is adversely affecting millions around the world."
We truly believe that David has identified a growing problem contributing to the fear and panic around this pandemic, namely, that people are being diagnosed as confirmed cases without actual scientific/laboratory confirmation based on standard good practices. This, of course, implies that many are being unnecessarily treated and even harmed with drugs that are extremely toxic. Moreover, for each wrongly identified case, millions more are incited into further fear and instability, and the crisis worsens. This is why, we believe, David Crowe is bringing an important perspective to the topic. That said, we do not endorse his work specifically as identical to our own editorial views, and hope that we can contribute to supporting a diversity of perspectives, sometimes not always congruent, in order to facilitate our readership's ability to make informed choices for themselves.
Feel free to provide us feedback on what specifically you may disagree with after reading David's well-referenced article, so we can be sure to inform him and correct any scientific inaccuracies.
Once again, thank you for communicating your concerns which we truly care about.
Best Regards,
Sayer Ji & The GreenMedInfo Team
